Follow-Up Email Subject Lines
A follow-up subject line has one job: get a busy person to reopen a conversation. Short, low-pressure and specific to what came before works best. Here are examples for the most common situations.

Why these work
Reference the last touch
“Any thoughts on Tuesday's call?” reminds them who you are without a recap.
Make replying easy
Yes/no questions (“Still a priority for this quarter?”) get more replies than open-ended ones.
Know when to stop
A polite break-up email (“Should I close your file?”) often gets the reply the first three did not.

Frequently asked questions
What should the subject line of a follow-up email be?
Short and tied to the previous conversation: “Following up on the proposal”, “Any thoughts on Tuesday's call?”. Replying in the same thread (keeping “Re:”) is also fine when the first email had a clear subject.
How long should I wait before following up?
Two to three business days after a meeting or proposal is a common rhythm for sales, and about a week for job applications. Space later follow-ups further apart.
How many follow-up emails is too many?
Most sales teams stop after three to five touches. Each one should add something new: a resource, a question, a different angle.
